Hello, I’m Master Matheus Valentim, a dedicated figure with a passion for Jiu-Jitsu, bringing over 15 years of experience and wisdom to the Gracie Barra community. I am honored to hold the rank of 2nd Degree Black Belt, a testament to the commitment throughout my journey.
As the founder and CEO of Gracie Barra Copacabana, I play the role of coach, leader and teacher for the Gracie Barra Copacabana and Gracie Barra Botafogo teams. Being part of the largest Jiu-Jitsu team in the world is a responsibility I embrace with pride, as we constantly seek to raise the standard and spread the principles of this martial art.

My commitment to excellence was recognized by leading the CBJJ Ranking in 2022 and 2023 in the Featherweight category. In addition, i won the titles of International Master South America Champion, Brazilian No-Kimono CBJJ/IBJJF 2023, South American CBJJ/IBJJF 2023 and I’ve won more than 15 titles in prestigious IBJJF championships.
Off the mats, I earned my degree in Accounting Sciences from the renowned Ibmec institution, followed by a postgraduate degree in Finance and Business Management, showing my commitment both inside and outside the world of martial arts.
